RTLB service are Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour who are available to work alongside schools and kura to provide learning support when it is needed. They are specialist, itinerant kaiako or teachers who work across a number of schools and kura.
RTLB work alongside teachers, school and whānau to develop strategies to support inclusive practice and collaboratively work towards overcoming substantial barriers to learning. This may include:
Advice and guidance about specific teaching strategies to support individual learning and behaviour needs
Facilitation of school-wide programmes or projects such as Best Start Literacy Approach (BSLA) and Postive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)
