A Message From the Manager

"Whaia te iti kahurangi kia tū mana motuhake ai tātou"

Cluster RTLB will support  positive actions towards sustainable change

RTLB Cluster 1 is made up of 73 schools ranging from Decile 1 to 6 mostly 1 to 3.

The vast geographical reach is from Maromaku  in the South to Cape Reinga in the North with a Western boundary past Opononi and an Eastern reach to Russell.  Many of the schools have teaching Principals who strive tirelessly to provide wonderful educational opportunities for their students.  We have a range of Kura Kaupapa Maori, Kura a Iwi and Bi-lingual settings which we service with an awesome dedicated professional team.

We have 29 staff and myself as manager.   This includes a leadership team of 5 Practice Leaders with  dedicated teams and one situated with the Manager in the head office.

There are 7 offices housing staff.  These are: Kaitaia Primary school [head office], Kaitaia Intermediate, Taipa Area School, Kerikeri Primary school, Pakaraka School, Northland College Kaikohe, and Broadwood Area School.  A new office is being refurbished in Moerewa.

Teams are made up of successful and experienced teachers who have committed to specialised postgraduate studies in Special Education.  Many have other specialised fields and all are totally committed to developing and providing inclusive practices throughout the Cluster.

As Manager I am very proud of my team, the service they provide and the uniqueness they bring.  I am also proud of the way we work together.
