Hi! I'm excited to have recently stepped out of the classroom and into the role of an RTLB here in the beautiful Far North.
Working with tamariki is something I love to do. There is nothing better than seeing that moment when something finally clicks—the smile, the confidence, and the "aha!" moment that comes with knowing they can do it. I feel privileged to be part of that journey and enjoy working with teachers and whānau to help every child experience success.
I've been teaching for 16 years, starting my career in Auckland before making the move to the Far North in 2017. When I'm not at work, you'll usually find me in my studio creating with clay, enjoying the outdoors, or curled up with a good book. My husband and I are also raising our two tamariki here, and I love that they get to grow up in such a special part of Aotearoa. The experiences, people, and sense of community make the Far North a wonderful place to call home.

Liaison for: Awanui School
I have been teaching for over 20 years in a variety of schools across Tai Tokerau, and I genuinely love my role as an RTLB. Every day brings new opportunities, and I enjoy working alongside educators, whānau, and students to achieve the best possible outcomes for our tamariki.
I am the liaison RTLB for Awanui School and also work with Oruaiti School.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my whānau and my gorgeous mokopuna. I enjoy reading, exploring different art and creative projects, and spending time outdoors. Whether I'm walking along the beach, tramping, or camping, I love making the most of Aotearoa's beautiful environment.
